Academic qualifications: Degree in Food Technology, KATEE Thessaloniki (1980). Degree in Pedagogical Studies PATES/SELETE (1984). MPhil (Fisheries), University of Hull, UK (2002).
Vocational training certificate: “HACCP Principles and their Application in Food Safety” (University of Hull/ T.E.I. Athens, 2000).
Current position: Lab Teaching Staff (E.D.I.P.), Department of Food Science and Technology, University of West Attica (PADA).
Professional experience: 40 years of laboratory teaching experience (PADA/TEI Athens, 1982 to date) in the subjects “Fish Technology”, “Food Microbiology”. Assistant researcher, European Program QUALPOISS-2 (Contract EU FAIR CT97–3253, 1997–2000). Analyst, AMSTEL Chemical Laboratory, Thessaloniki (1982).
Research activity: Member of the research teams of national and E.U. funded research programs and ELKE projects for more than 20 years.
Areas of research expertise: Quality, safety and shelf life of fishery products.
Authorship: Eleven (11) publications in international peer-reviewed journals (9 in Scopus journals), one chapter in collective volume, 12 communications in international peer-reviewed conferences with book of proceedings.
