XANTHAKIS EPAMINONDAS

He graduated in 2003 and obtained his Ph.D. in 2009 from the School of Chemical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. During his studies and academic career, he collaborated with numerous laboratories in different countries across Europe, Asia, and the America, as part of collaborations, European programs, or participation in research exchange programs. Postdoctoral research and collaborations were conducted in food process laboratories in France (ONIRIS, Nantes), Canada (McGill University, Montreal), the United Kingdom (University of Greenwich, Chatham), Sweden (SIK-Food and Bioscience, Gothenburg), and the Netherlands (Delft University of Technology, Delft).

From 2022 to 2023, he worked as Special Teaching Staff at the Department of Agricultural Sciences, Biotechnology, and Food Science at the Cyprus University of Technology, serving as the academic coordinator for the courses in Food Processing & Engineering and Agro-industrial & Livestock Waste Management. From 2014 to 2022, he worked as an senior researcher at the Unit of Process & Product Design within the Department of Agriculture and Food at RISE – Research Institutes of Sweden.
